Changemakers' Room

The world’s most pressing problems transcend national borders, calling for collective action and international cooperation. Aspiring leaders join hands together to identify local and global problems, develop innovative solutions contributing towards Action Agenda for Change 2020 and execute international mobility impact projects.

Changemakers' Room is one of the flagship initiatives of the ecosystem. An international Training Forum gathering some of the most aspiring social change leaders from India and Europe to work together in creating easily-replicable, sustainable solutions to some of the most pressing contemporary problems affecting India and Europe.

The Changemakers' Room is an annual Forum usually selecting 50 the most promising social change leaders from India and Europe. The Forum works:
1. to strategically build impact-oriented partnerships between individuals and their represented organizations;
2. to identify current the most pressing problems faced by the represented communities of India and Europe;
3. to begin developing international projects aimed at creating innovative solutions (products/services/tools) to solve the identified issues.

The programme makes extensive use of non-formal education efforts to utilize potential of human talent and social capital, while conforming to the principle of lifelong learning by linking support to formal, non-formal and informal learning practices. The programme is a perfect mixture of immersive field trips, innovative learning methodologies, simulation games and team building exercises.

Through role-play, research, case-studies, field visits, hands-on learning methods, interactions with industry professionals and intense team building, changemakers will enhance project writing and skills of advocacy for social change, critical thinking, negotiation, problem solving and cultural intelligence for leadership.

ACTION AGENDA FOR CHANGE 2020 -
THE WAY FORWARD

The issues advocated by the selected changemakers and shortlisted by the newly created working groups are prioritized within the Action Agenda for Change 2020. Each group works to develop an impact-oriented international project aimed at creating an innovation in response to the identified problems. The project development and the execution spreads over a period of 3-4 years and is divided in the following phases:

Phase I - Changemakers' Room Training Forum;
Phase II - Finalize the impact projects, receive funding for the following 3 years;
Phase III - Begin the execution of the projects;
Phase IV - Launch of the innovation aspect - product/service/tool;
